Job Description
Remote:
Must be local because associate will need to go into the office for training and meetings as needed.

Client Title: Analyst, Customs & Export Control
PAY: 27.58-37.25 per hour
Shift: 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM – Monday-Friday
Contract: 1 year W2 Contract
Location: Woodcliff Lake, NJ
1 PTO Day Accrued each month and 11 paid holidays
Job Requirements
Under the guidance and supervision of the various Managers in the Customs and Export Control Department the Analyst, Customs and Export Control will support all customs and export control related matters of all US Group entities and their respective departments to ensure compliance with Customs and Export Control Laws and Regulations.
A successful customs compliance program is necessary for maintaining a free flow of goods into and out of the United States which is critical to ensure US Group entities competitive edge in the market. A strong customs and export control compliance team is essential to this effort and provides for an effective and compliant import and export program which protects US Group entities from reputational damage and costly penalties.
Main Responsibilities
Provide support of migration of data from current customs system to new master data system.
Interpret technical documents, such as drawings and diagrams.
Assist with review of technical details, including the use of systems to confirm material composition, thread size, etc.
Assist with Classification, PGA, and ADD/CVD reviews and research.
Assign appropriate units of measure to product master data.
Utilize US Group applications and US Group knowledge bases to gather information required for Classification.
Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders (suppliers, part owners, purchasers) to obtain relevant information.
Review and re-classify parts lists as needed (including assignment of ADDCVD, PGA and Unit of Measure) for the Company based on US Group provided prioritization tools / worklists and in alignment with Company provided Knowledge Bases.
Track and provide Classification, PGA, and ADD/CVD KPIs.
Attend regular Challenge Board meetings to review classifications.
Document processes in standardized work instructions.
Be knowledgeable in Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Teams (preferred).
On request by US Group, holiday, after-hours support and emergency processing support.

Bachelor’s Degree
Previous Data Analysis experience with Customs Classification
