Facility Maintenance Technician

HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs, and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems and infrastructure including HVAC systems, plumbing, lighting, and basic electrical and mechanical components. Strong technical aptitude and adherence to OSHA and safety regulations are required.

Completes general building repairs including repair of walls, doors, floors, etc.

Completes repairs to plumbing systems, including fixing leaks and stoppages, repairs or replacement of sinks, piping, valves, drains, and toilets.

Repairs and maintains lighting systems

Inspect and identifies equipment or machines in need of repairs

Plans to repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed

Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance

performs other related duties assigned

Event set ups such as tents, tables and chairs

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED equivalent: Vocational Tech, Trades School, or Military Occupational Specialty preferred.

Minimum 6 years of experience in facilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience with the following Plumbing Maintenance, Basic Electrical and Mechanical Skills required.

Must have experience and abide with OSHA guidelines including Lock-out/Tag-out.

Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or senior maintenance workers.

Ability to us hand tools and power tools.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Prolonged periods standing, sitting, walking, and coordination

Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
