HKA is working on behalf of Jacobs, and this role is to support Jacobs’ work through HKA

Qualifications:

Must consider safety as the number one priority and adhere to all safety rules and instructions

Must have good mechanical aptitude (experience with water or wastewater operations is a plus)

Local to the project site area is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of tasks in the operation, maintenance, repair and calibration of the equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of an industrial water/wastewater treatment facility on an assigned shift.

• Operates industrial facilities to control flow and processing of streams such as water, wastewater, steam, compressed air, sludge and effluents.

• Monitors control panels and panel board, and adjusts controls, valves and gates manually or by remote control to regulate flow, pressure elevation and distribution.

• Processes, stores, and hauls process residuals in accordance with plant schedules and regulatory requirements.

• Collects samples and performs routine laboratory tests.

• Utilizes data management tools for daily process control, such as computer spreadsheets and programs.

• Accomplishes routine maintenance and custodial duties as required.

Makes necessary operating decisions in absence of supervisor.

Comments/Special Instructions

Pay rate is expected to be $23.00-25.00/hour depending on experience

Work schedule is 40 hours/week but will include either a Saturday or a Sunday each week

Employee will have to complete OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training to work on site

Candidates must pass the normal drug test and background check as a condition of employment
