Job Description
As an Electrical Foreman specializing in underground electrical work, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing our underground electrical projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of electricians, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to a team of electricians on underground electrical projects. Ensure project objectives are met and deadlines are achieved.
Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote strict safety protocols, ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with industry regulations and company safety policies.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards for all electrical installations and ensure that work is completed to meet or exceed industry standards.
Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
Technical Expertise: Apply your expertise in underground electrical systems, including cable laying, conduit installation, and trenching, to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of project progress, daily reports, and material usage. Prepare reports and communicate project status to higher management.
Training and Development: Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in underground electrical work.
Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground electrical work, including cable installation, conduit laying, and trenching.
Prior experience in a leadership role as a Foreman or Supervisor.
Proficient knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Valid electrical license/certification.
OSHA certification preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
