Pay: $50.00- $62.00 per hour DOE

Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Preferred Office Locations: Portland, OR | Phoenix, AZ | Pittsburgh, PA | Boise, ID

Job Overview

We are seeking a Career-Level Piping Designer to support complex industrial and commercial facility projects. In this role, you will independently develop piping layouts and coordinated 3D models, collaborate closely with engineers and multi-discipline teams, and contribute to high-quality, constructible design solutions.

This position is ideal for an experienced designer ready to take on greater technical ownership and coordination responsibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop piping layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx.

  • Apply piping design principles including routing, equipment layout, and constructability.

  • Incorporate vendor data and resolve clashes through model coordination.

  • Produce piping drawings, isometrics, and details aligned with project standards.

  • Identify design impacts, scope changes, and constructability concerns.

  • Coordinate with engineers and global workshare teams to ensure model quality.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Design Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of piping design experience in industrial or commercial facilities.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx.

  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documents.

  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or similar.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with pipe stress considerations and QA/QC workflows.

  • Experience supporting or leading workshare teams.
