Pay: $50.00- $62.00 per hour DOE
Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Preferred Office Locations: Portland, OR | Phoenix, AZ | Pittsburgh, PA | Boise, ID

Job Overview
We are seeking a Career-Level Piping Designer to support complex industrial and commercial facility projects. In this role, you will independently develop piping layouts and coordinated 3D models, collaborate closely with engineers and multi-discipline teams, and contribute to high-quality, constructible design solutions.
This position is ideal for an experienced designer ready to take on greater technical ownership and coordination responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Develop piping layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx.
Apply piping design principles including routing, equipment layout, and constructability.
Incorporate vendor data and resolve clashes through model coordination.
Produce piping drawings, isometrics, and details aligned with project standards.
Identify design impacts, scope changes, and constructability concerns.
Coordinate with engineers and global workshare teams to ensure model quality.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Design Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of piping design experience in industrial or commercial facilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, or CADWorx.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documents.
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or similar.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with pipe stress considerations and QA/QC workflows.
Experience supporting or leading workshare teams.
