CNC Machinist (1st shift)

This is a1st Shift position, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

  • The CNC Machinist will work with various types of materials including aluminum, CRS, and 304 SST
  • Set-ups and break-downs
  • Works from written procedures, blueprints, and verbal instructions under minimal supervision
  • Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using basic mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers
  • Verify settings by adhering to blueprint specifications and international standards
  • Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, milling, and cutting (This includes turning, facing, knurling and internal/external threading, and manual esthetics to meet quality expectations.)
  • Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot
  • Other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years machinist experience required
  • Understanding of G and M Codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches to produce parts Knowledge of OKUMA, FADALS, and ROBODRILLS desired
  • Ability to make adjustments to adhere to print specifications
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Demonstrated solid work history
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. required
