Job Description:

This is a1st Shift position, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

The CNC Machinist will work with various types of materials including aluminum, CRS, and 304 SST

Set-ups and break-downs

Works from written procedures, blueprints, and verbal instructions under minimal supervision

Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches Calculate dimensions and tolerances using basic mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers

Verify settings by adhering to blueprint specifications and international standards

Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, milling, and cutting (This includes turning, facing, knurling and internal/external threading, and manual esthetics to meet quality expectations.)

Make adjustments to adhere to print specifications

Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot

Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

Accomplish organizational goals by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 2 years machinist experience required

Understanding of G and M Codes

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches to produce parts Knowledge of OKUMA, FADALS, and ROBODRILLS desired

Conceptual Skills

Ability to make adjustments to adhere to print specifications

Ability to speak, read, and write English

Process improvement experience and knowledge of Lean practices desired

Functional and Technical Skills

Attention to Detail and Good Judgment

Demonstrated solid work history

Safe work history

Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. required
