Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Description    

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to identify and drive opportunities for information delivery and business intelligence solutions by utilizing skills in Power BI for our Aerospace client. 

Candidate will review, strategize and optimize current BI environment; identify solutions to improve data architecture, quality, and processes and drive the implementation of solutions; assist with new user set up to ensure employees have proper access to Power BI and SQL reports; develop and maintain complete documentation for all production data warehouse analytics, dashboards, and reports.

Requirements    

Experience Needed – 

•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI toolset

•    Working knowledge of data warehouse design, development, and maintenance

•    Ability to define both technical and reporting requirements to develop analytics from the concepts to final reporting output

•    Must be able to troubleshoot and provide end-to-end support for BI Reports and database issues in live and development environments.

•    Verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to establish and cultivate relationships with key partners.

•    Strong critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot issues to the original data source.

•    Ability to research data definition, usage and flow to gain expertise in existing systems.

•    Expert troubleshooting skills to investigate resolve and escalate problems. Identifies need for technical assistance to help in problem resolution.

•    Ability to summarize highly complex business cases, system information and concepts and clearly communicate to leadership.

•    Data and business analysis skills, including strong building of data models, data sets and documentation skills

•    “Roll up your sleeves” hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications a must.
