Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is task driven in providing support to the Accounting Group in day-to-day functions.
Manages own workload and may delegate assignments to other administrative staff or team members.
Provides on the job training to new team members.
Responsibilities are complex in nature and require independent judgment for problem solving, answering questions and resolving issues.
Coordinate accounting process support and technical assistance for a broad customer base that can be either internal or external to the company.
Execute special or continuous research in support of a project, collect data and analyze complex problems associated with a project, or may act as coordinator, or budget manager of departmental projects.
Responsible for a complete set and systematic set of transactions in a specific phase of accounting, requiring acquired knowledge of specific accounting policies and practices.
High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree desirable.
7 or more years of general business experience, with 3 to 5 years of general accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Has deep knowledge of a specialized administrative field and applies specialized skills gained through formal training and/or extensive experience.
