*Relocation assistance offered OR per diem offered to qualified candidates, $1,000/week worked

Hybrid Role
The client is seeking an Accountant to support our growing team in Queensbury, New York. Local candidates preferred. Relocation package available for an outstanding candidate. This is a hybrid position with a lot of flexibility to work from home.

The successful candidate will have previous experience related to working with medium sized company, managing supplier invoicing and outbound payments (including payroll), monitor and record sales, and ensure all financial models, records, and related materials are kept up-to-date and stored safely to ensure they can be retained in the event of a catastrophe. 
 
Responsibility
  • Create and manage financial statements and dashboards in a timely fashion
  • Ensure audits are completed promptly with a quality product
  • Advise best practices and optimizations throughout accounting processes
  • Collaborate with finance personnel to develop approaches for creating more-accurate financial records and models for the company
  • Manage any audits on behalf of the company
  • Quality-assure and audit reports and filings for errors
  • Implement feedback and changes whenever possible
  • Create visualizations that convey accurate financial views of the project 
  • Various projects/reports/analysis as needed

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an accounting-related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software and bookkeeping program QuickBooks Online
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial modeling
  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to be organized, accurate, and timely

  • Excellent computer systems skills, Excel spreadsheets and contract administration
