Tool Install Structural Designers
Tempe, AZ 85282
The Tool Install Structural Designers are responsible for preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals.
Will be an integral member of the design team, using strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with Structural Engineers, other disciplines, and construction trade partners.
Will develop design concepts and coordinate designs to resolve both real and modeled conflicts.
Works with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and process, to coordinate design needs for tool install packages, working independently to put together structural drawings to meet client needs.
Conducts field investigations as needed to verify existing conditions.
Manages and incorporates electronic redlines from the Structural Engineer using established workflows.
Supports construction activities such as conducting field observations and assisting with Requests for Information (RFIs).
Delegates to junior staff when appropriate.
High School diploma or equivalent
Highly proficient in checking own work and coordinating work with related disciplines to avoid clashes.
Highly focused on quality, ensuring conformance with established structural standards, project standards, and project delivery processes. Able to provide quality reviews of models and documents prepared by others to assure design and project standards are met.
Able to support work for/in other offices (possibly including Temporary Duty Assignments).
