The Systems Administrator is a jack of all trades that is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Shared Services infrastructure systems as well as desktop support.
The Systems Administrator is a lead position that carries out responsibilities in the following technical areas: server maintenance, system upgrades and procurement, security patching and remediation, troubleshooting, OS installation and maintenance, and server hardening. T
This is a cross-discipline role that will support server, workstations, and HPCs.
Will process automation and system administration through scripting (Powershell and Bash) and job scheduling
Administrator of various OS workstations and servers including physical, virtual, and clustered configurations
Build, deploy, secure and manage new virtual and physical servers
Ensure all systems and servers are adhering to change control, patch management, and are audited
Assist with security architecture and monitoring

Programming/scripting experience (Powershell and Bash required, others preferred)
1+ years administrative experience in Linux (CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu)
Including patching, installing software, managing shared storage, processes and backups
2+ years administrative experience in Windows (windows 2012, 2016)
Including patching, installing software, managing storage, processes and backups
DFS, Work Folders, Storage Spaces, Hyper-V, RemoteApp,
2+ years experience working with server, desktop, and application virtualization
Hands on server hardware support experience.
1+ year experience with Puppet (Preferred), Chef or Ansible
Experience with monitoring and logging, ex. Ganglia
Amazon web services (AWS), Azure,
Juniper Firewall administration
MySQL, SQL, PHP, Apache,
Experience supporting users of R, Matlab, Stata, C++
