Safety & Compliance Trainer

HKA is hiring Safety & Compliance Trainer in Newport News, VA. This is a long-term opportunity with great working conditions and great pay. This position is at a state of the art shipyard, building aircraft carriers and submarines. The yard is clean and a very safe work environment.

 

Pay

$22.22 to $29.24 an hour

 

Job Duties

Candidate must have the ability to conduct various training courses to include, but not limited to: Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout-Tag out), Hazardous Waste Control, Forklift Practical training, Fall Protection, Fall Protection Inspection, Bloodborne Pathogens, Torch Operations, Aerial boom lift (JLG) and other mobile equipment. Must have the ability to update training material to reflect current OSHA regulations and changes to company procedures as well as apply knowledge shared in training courses to practical applications on the shop floor.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience OR 3+ years of experience with an associates degree
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • OSHA 30 Hour certified
  • OSHA 30 Hour Train the Trainer certified for 1910 General Industry
  • Able to perform crane practical qualification training
  • Able to conduct quality control material training
