Job Description:

All HRP LSA engineers are expected to work the hours required to meet committed delivery due dates which often requires working overtime during the weekday and on weekends if necessary.

UH-1 Replacement (HH-60U), Logistics Support Analysis will provide up-front design influence to enhance overall aircraft supportability and operational readiness, while reducing the life cycle cost.

The S70-I structure contains some components and tasks that are not applicable to the HH-60U.

This requires the HRP LSA analysts to review every single task within this structure against the engineering bill of material and to remove those parts that will not be used on the HH-60U and to add those parts that will along with their associated tasks.

The overall objectives of the Logistic Support Analysis Engineer are to establish, validate and update the maintenance concept for the entire aircraft life cycle by:

Analyzing engineering source data for impact to Organizational level maintenance.

Identifying the components to be repaired (Candidate list) including the scheduled and unscheduled tasking.

All Organization and Depot level repairable components will be identified.

Identifying level of repair by establishing SM&R codes.

Establishing repair parts/tools/consumables.

Identifying/minimizing special tool and support equipment requirements.

Establishing parts provisioning requirements consistent with the maintenance concept.

Developing Maintenance Task Analysis supporting Remove/Install, Repair, Service and other tasks defined in the Maintenance Plan.

Entering/updating the data into a SAMS database capable of producing LSA-024 (Maintenance Plan) and LSA-020 (Maintenance Task Narrative).

Ensuring authorized technical review/acceptance review of submitted packages to ensure compliance with statement of work, engineering source data and departmental quality plan.

Qualifications:

Must have technical knowledge of rotorcraft with experience involving a broad knowledge of Helicopter/Aircraft mechanics, electrical/electronic maintenance and support functions including Data Analysis and Modeling.

Familiarity with engineering drawing interpretation, maintainability and reliability principles, assembly and disassembly methods and manufacturing and inspection methods is required.

Familiarity with GEIA-0007 data elements and table relationship is desired.
