Inspection and Packaging Tech

The Tech will maintain quality control by identifying all defects found in ware being produced and take appropriate action to maintain quality standards.
Operates all inspection equipment, all computer systems, records all quality, safety, and maintenance information daily.
Supports the Senior Specialist, Load Building Specialist and Warehouse Shippers in providing uninterrupted service to the production process, by building and storing pallets of finished ware.
Interfaces with team members and support groups regarding aspects of production process, equipment changes or repairs.
Responsible for training new employees in the operation of the inspection area.
Unjams straight lines and equipment, uprights down ware, hand stacks, hand packs and maintains light station rotations.
Performs set-outs from Lehr, interprets data regarding straight line or automatic sampling, communicates and records all ware quality and productivity measures.
Straight line operation duties include: working with high speed machinery, clearing jams, visual inspection, and conveyor cleaning and ensuring constant movement of ware from the Lehr to the warehouse. Visually monitor ware at intervals on each shop, run defect samples take corrective action and maintain accuracy and operation of bottle coding system.

Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Computer usage and understanding is required
