The Industrial Tech will perform field work tasks such as site inspections, groundwater sampling and monitoring, soil gas sampling, soil and waste sampling
Monitor control panels
Observe variations in operating conditions and record and interpret meter and gauge readings
Operate and control electric motors, pumps, and valves to regulate processes
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair facility equipment and instrumentation
Accomplish routine maintenance and custodial duties as required Travel to project locations is required; estimated 80% travel
High School Diploma or GED required
High mechanical aptitude
Must possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions
40 Hr OSHA HAZWOPR training or ability to obtain
Must be capable of heavy physical exertion in a variety of difficult field conditions
Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office products, databases and on-line programs
Utilize data management tools for daily process control, such as computer spreadsheets and programs.
Ability to collect, manage, and file field documents such as calibration records, permits, and field logs
Knowledge in the operation of pump and treat systems or similar systems
Experience in industrial operations and maintenance, including experience sampling multiple types of media such as air, soil, groundwater, and water, waste
