This position is available for first shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM).
The project operates 3 shifts daily on a 24/7/365 schedule.
Other work scheduling requirements may also apply during extreme weather events.
Weekend, holiday, and alternate shift work may be required in order to meet client requirements.
The HVAC Mechanic will operate, troubleshoot, commission, and perform preventive maintenance on a variety of Direct Digital Control platforms to include Johnson Controls Inc. Metasys and NAE servers; Honeywell BMS and related servers; N2 and BACnet communication; JCI-related equipment devices (DX9100, VMA, FEC); and Honeywell-related equipment devices which control the environment of the Airport.
Will upload/download, read, modify/adjust, troubleshoot, and translate JCI and Honeywell DC programs by using Johnson Controls, Inc. and Honeywell interface programs.
Will troubleshoot, repair, and replace any and all equipment parts, sensors, and hardware that comprise the whole and component parts of an air handling unit (AHU) and any of its secondary boxes and/or systems (VAV, PIU, VVR).
Will also work with other HVAC mechanical technicians in a support role to help troubleshoot, translate Sequence of Operations, and verify controller operation and programs, and commission HVAC systems.
Associate’s degree or technical school or equivalent years’ experience
5 years’ experience in the industrial sector of HVAC systems, Direct Digital Controls and Building Maintenance Systems
Valid Driver’s License with the ability to be covered under the liability insurance
Knowledge and understanding of the design, operation, and maintenance of chilled and hot water systems and pumps, specifically for a four pipe system
Knowledge and understanding of the function and use of Direct Digital Control (DDC-N2 and BACNet), and pneumatic controlled systems
Knowledge of Building Maintenance System (BMS) specifically Johnson Controls, Inc., Metasys, Insight, Tracer, Summit, ALC and Honeywell systems
Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) ABB and Yaskawa
Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices in a commercial/industrial setting
Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, control, and equipment drawings
Ability to read, understand, and translate control drawings and Sequence of Operations
