Job Description:

The Distribution Engineering Technologist will be for a technical coordinator role within Distribution Engineering.

Will be providing conceptual and preliminary guidance on the design of converting overhead facilities to underground facilities.

Will travel to various job sites that are identified as potential targets for conversion.

Worker may exit vehicle and walk on uneven terrain to obtain necessary field notes to generate preliminary design drawings, facility IDs, etc.


High school diploma or GED

Highly customer focused

Experienced with electrical distribution utility design

Experienced with underground subdivision layouts and overhead to underground conversions.

Experienced with commercial and residential metering.

Willing to attend after hour neighborhood meetings. There will be customer engagement specialist that may assist in this activity.

Experienced with R/W acquisition

Experienced with joint use (both pole ownership transfers and joint UG)

Ability to effectively manage/prioritize a large volume of work

Savvy using MyWorld, Maximo and simple computer databases

Creativity in determining solutions where limited standardization exists
