Job Description:

This is a 4 month assignment

The Driver will be loading and unloading of pumps, hoses and other pumping accessories on and off of Godwin Pumps delivery trucks and its freight carriers; loading/unloading may be done mechanically or manually.

Will assist in maintaining orderliness of yard equipment and accessories

 Safe operation of diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment; i.e., forklifts, front-end loaders, tow motors, etc.

Complete paper work flow associated with loading /unloading equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory.

Ensure yard area is organized and maintained and all equipment and accessories are properly and securely stored

Work independently or as part of a crew to install and dismantle large multi-pump or complex pumping systems and pipelines on customer job sites.

Review preliminary contracts to ensure all materials needed are identified and available.

Initiate site introductions with customer and Outside Sales personnel. Establish customer expectations and clarify customer support.

Establish communication with equipment operators.

Prepare electronic work orders.

Understand priming systems, options, remote systems and A-91 panels

Apply proper measurements (center-to-center or face-to-face) to HDPE pipe.

Calculate angles to ensure proper installation.

Understand and react to how weather conditions effect HDPE fusion.

Perform vacuum checks on installed pumping systems.

Perform proper sequencing to break down pump systems and pipelines to avoid spills and/or contamination to surrounding work area.

Properly flush systems.

Utilize chain saws and other hand tools to properly cut and break down pipelines.

Understand how and where to cut pipe to avoid spills, damage and excessive scrapping.

Thoroughly inspect and evaluate condition of pipe, hose and fittings upon dismantling.

Prepare Bill of Ladings (BOLs) to load out equipment from job site. Coordinate with dispatch to arrange proper timing of truck arrivals to ensure material handling equipment and/or personnel are available.

Travel as needed (overnight, weekends and extended periods) to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 2 years of experience working on construction or industrial work sites. 

Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment, i.e., telehandlers, skid steers, air tuggers, etc.

Valid CDL A or B license with good driving record;  

Forklift certification

Ability to layout site to include suction area, discharge area and containment dikes

Ability to set up single and multiple pump systems

Ability to install valves, gate valves, manifolds and tapping sleeves

Ability to level and install cribbing

Ability to vent and place drains as needed

Ability to install saddles

Ability to set single and multiple dip tubes

Ability to set floats and transducers

Ability to install road crossing and bury pipe

Ability to fill lines, test and check system for leaks on suction and discharge lines

Ability to start-up staged, multi-pump systems

Ability to install freeze protection

Ability to install a Wellpoint system

Ability to perform side wall fusion and extrusion welding

Ability to weld in ditch and stitch

Ability to read blueprints or other layout and design documents

Ability to complete basic math calculations (add, subtract, divide and multiply)

Basic computer skills

Ability to work flexible hours in order to respond to customer emergencies

Ability to read and write legibly

Ability to safely operate diesel powered hydraulic lifting equipment, i.e., forklifts, front-end loaders, tow-motors, telehandlers, etc.
