Class A CDL Flatbed Driver (Hazmat & crane certified)

The Driver will assist yard personnel in loading/unloading, perform inspections, maintain communication, and other duties as assigned. Will assist yard personnel in loading and unloading trucks with pumping equipment for delivery and pick up.
Secure all items loaded on the truck for safe over-the-road travel in accordance with Federal and local Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
Review all items to be delivered (or picked up) with customer to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Obtain customer’s signature on Rental Contract paperwork.
Maintain log books with entries for driving, on-duty, etc. in accordance with DOT guidelines.
Maintain mileage and fuel logs as required.
Perform daily visual inspections of delivery equipment and documenting any items in need of service.
Maintain communication with dispatch as to whereabouts and estimated arrival/departure times.
Assist in the set-up of pumping equipment as necessary.
Available for on-call off-hours driving assignments on a rotating schedule for emergencies.
Assist as needed in preparing rental equipment for dispatch and ensuring yard is organized and maintained.
High school diploma or GED
One to two years’ experience in the construction industry preferred One year experience operating Class A commercial vehicles
Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.)
Valid state issued commercial driver license
Current Department of Transportation medical card preferred
Must have Hazmat and Boom certifications.
