The Associate Business Manager leads major aftermarket proposal and agreement activity for current and legacy helicopters substantially in support of new business and other than commercial-off-the-shelf efforts such as modifications, license and technical assistance agreements and aftermarket proposals.
The ABM works as part of the Commercial and International Business Office directly with the Aftermarket Sales Managers to facilitate the process from initial strategy development through contract closure pursuant to the above activities.
Will be responsible for the project management, preparation, budget control, and timely preparation and submission of assigned proposals, contracts and licenses.
Will read, digest, understand and respond to customer requirements and lead effort from receipt of request through delivery of approved document to the customer.
Assigned tasks will be unique, sometimes single or sole source bids, offers and estimates and can vary in size and complexity.
Projects range in type to include but not limited to aftermarket products such as publications, training and logistics services, engineering services, inter-entity transactions, license and technical assistance agreements (LTAA), aircraft product improvements and major aircraft modifications.
The Associate Business Manager may be occasionally required to support customer discussions, negotiations and closing of the sale.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
Requires a demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to compile inputs from multiple sources and convey a clear message.
Ability to lead and support special projects or a cross-functional team
Strong analytical skills
Aptitude for working collaboratively and independently in a time-constrained environment
Experience with helicopter aftermarket activity will be favorably considered.
